Dion Ong achieves Perfect Score in SASMO 2017

As a result of his #1 global ranking for his year level at the 2017 Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) held last April 8 & 11, Dion Stephan Ong of Cardoner/10-Canisius was  awarded a Perfect Score certificate, a gold medal and Singapore $100 at the SASMO awarding ceremony held in NISMED-University of the Philippines (Diliman) last Saturday, June 10, 2017. 

This year, over 22,000 contestants from 19 countries participated in SASMO. Students who obtained a Perfect Score and won a gold or silver award in the SASMO are eligible to take part in the Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge to be held in Singapore from July 14 to 17, 2017 or the World Math Invitational to be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from August 11-15, 2017.

As one of the top 4 highest scorers in his year level from the Philippines, Dion is also invited to participate in the International Junior Math Olympiad to be held in Cambodia from 11-15 August 2017.
