Dion Ong Earns Silver in Singapore Computer Programming Olympiad

Last March 17, 2018, Dion Ong won a silver medal in the 21st Singapore National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) held in the National University of Singapore. A total of 188 participants represented Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and host country Singapore. All tasks in the competition were programming tasks that were algorithmic in nature. Contestants were expected to design source code programs to solve five programming tasks for the 5-hour competition using C++, Java or Python 2 languages.

Singapore NOI takes direction from the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). This year’s IOI will be held in Tsukuba, Japan, from September 1 - 8, 2018.
