Last June 3, incoming Ateneo Junior High School grade 10 student Nio Tria of Cardoner cluster won two titles in the Manila leg of the 19th HEAD Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit. Nio emerged as 16U boys singles champion and 18U boys doubles champion in the competition which was held at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex from May 29 to June 3, 2017.

The previous week, Nio reportedly won three titles during the Subic/Olongapo leg of the circuit held from May 23 to 27, 2017.

Per a report in The Philippine Star, the HEAD junior satellite circuit was held in 12 cities all over the country as part of the company's commitment to develop tennis in the Philippines.

Nio Tria is one of the AJHS’ most winning lawn tennis players. At the AJHS Recognition Day ceremony held last February 23, 2017, he was one of only 15 AJHS boys who received the award for distinguished individual achievement. Nio’s award was in recognition of the 11 national lawn tennis titles he won in various competitions held all over the Philippines during school year 2016-2017.
