Fr. Atilano vs. Capinding, Sanvictores vs. Salvador, and Dimalanta vs. Elise... this was not a battle among the Junior High School and Senior High School administrators, but a friendly basketball tournament involving the faculty, staff, security guards, and food service staff of the Junior and Senior High School.

With games starting in December 2018 and culminating in a winner take all finals game last February 26, 2019, four teams composed of JHS faculty, staff, and security guards competed against one another and against guest teams from the SHS faculty and staff and Elise Food services.

This Principal's Cup season saw numerous 1 point wins, overtime and even double overtime games, and gutsy performances from players that most students would find in the offices of the APSAF such as Mr. Sadia and Mr. Rabena, the MST such as Mr. Cose, the Infirmary such as Mr. Balbin and Mr. Fernandez, the ITC such as Mr. Sapnu and Mr. Coballes, the Library such as Mr. Musa and Mr. Galang, the computer labs such as Mr. Sacmar and Mr. Ballesteros, the COOP such as Mr. Vistal, and the Campus Ministry such as Mr. Boone. Also on display were the teamwork and precision passing from our custodians such as Mr. Naza and Mr. Gumapac, and Mr. Abcede, and Mr. Batalla and Mr. Dela Cruz. Faculty such as Mr. Oppus, Mr. Cuya, Mr. Crisostomo, Mr. Africa, Mr. Iyulores, Mr. Flojo, Mr. Torralba, and Mr. Morato also found time to lace it up, collar rebounds, and burn the nets.

In the end, Team Capinding, the White team, reached the finals against Team Fr. Atilano, the Blue team. Team Capinding sported a 6-0 record on the strength of consistent play from Mr. Ezekiel Vistal, Mr. Joel Naza, Mr. Rey Gumapac, Mr. Miggy Oracion, and Mr. Jopet Coronado and solid coaching by Mr. Arvin Sadia. Team Fr. Atilano showed the grit and fighting spirit to overcome close games to eke out one point wins and overtime wins.

On February 26, 2019, at the Moro Lorenzo basketball court these teams Blue and White faced off. White team raced off to a double digit lead on the quick drives of Kiel Vistal and Rey Gumapac, the powerful post play of Joel Naza, and the booming threes from Miggy Oracion and Jopet Coronado. However, Blue team never gave up. After the Blue team employed a trapping defense that forced multiple turnovers and quick points for Junefer Abcede, Reymund Cose, and Jay Hubalde, the White team saw their lead slowly dwindle. Despite the constant pressure, playing coach Arvin Sadia kept his cool and got his players to settle down. In the end, the White team claimed victory and an unbeaten 7-0 record.

The players and organizers would like to acknowledge the support of the different JHS and SHS administrators, especially Mr. Salvador, Mrs. Dimalanta, who was incredibly vocal in her cheering and support, Mrs. Sanvictores, Mr. Capinding, and Fr. Atilano, who came to watch some of the games. Thanks are also due to Mr. Albarece for the use of the Moro Lorenzo basketball court, and JAB Printing and Imaging Supply for the medals and trophy.
