Admission Requirements for the LL.M. Program

Applicants should submit the following:

(a)  LL.M. Application Form

(b)  Complete Official Transcript of Records (and English translation, if necessary)

(c)  Certified true copy of diplomas obtained after secondary education (and English translation, if necessary)

(d)  Certificate of admission to the Bar. For foreign applicants, an equivalent certification attesting to their qualification to practice law in their jurisdiction will suffice.

(e)  Two (2) letters of recommendation

(f)   Personal Statement

(g)  LL.M. Thesis Proposal

(h)   Curriculum vitae

(i)   For foreign applicants, in addition to the foregoing requirements, the following are also required:

1.     Official TOEFL or IELTS score report (or equivalent)

2.     Duly authenticated visa requirements

(j)   Three (3) recent photos, with red background (2 x 2)

(k)   Application Fee

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AY 2020-2021 APPLICANTS TO THE LL.M. PROGRAM
 
Due to the prevailing quarantine protocols and regulations, electronic copies of the application requirements may be submitted in the meantime. All requirements must be sent to glsi.law@ateneo.edu. For easier tracking of applications, kindly indicate the following in the subject line of the email: LLM Application – (Surname).
 
The application documents must be submitted in PDF, and the file names must observe the following naming convention: Type of document_Surname. For example: Application Form_Surname.
 
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION FOR THE AY 2020-2020 INTAKE IS ON 24 JULY 2020.
 
After the Graduate Legal Studies Institute (GLSI) has reviewed and found that the application documents are substantially complete, the applicant needs to pay the application fee of Php 2000.00. The fee may be paid using BPI online facilities. Specific instructions will be sent to the applicant.
 
Upon payment of the application fee, the applicant will be scheduled for interview with the GLSI Director.
 
Accepted applicants will be required to submit printed copies of the application requirements as a pre-condition to enrolment. The deadline will be given with the offer for admission for accepted applicants.
