Certificate in Facilitating Adult Learning
This is a 4-day course aimed at developing the competencies of HR professionals and managers as facilitators of learning and change with particular emphasis on Adult Learning Methodologies and Principles.
Module I: What is Adult Learning?
This introductory module aims to establish in participants the basic principles and conditions in adult learning as well as showcase the different Adult Learning Styles and the different approaches to learning.
Module II: Adult Learning Facilitator
This module will focus on the different facilitating styles and the core competencies needed for facilitation. Through various simulations and role-plays, the competencies of the participants in Active Listening, Feedback and Process Observation Analysis (POA) will be practiced and developed. This module will particularly cover the framework, instruments, methodologies and skills needed for POA.
Module III: Facilitating Adult Learning
Learners will be immersed in Adult Learning Methodologies and module delivery. They will also learn how to manage group discussions and run effective meetings. They will also design and run Structured Learning Exercises.
