ALPHAN LOMIBAO WINS 2 GOLD MEDALS IN SIMOC 2017

Ateneo Grade School student Alphan Lomibao (3-Data) won two gold medals in the Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC), which was held from July 15-16, 2017 at the National University of Singapore. Alphan won a gold medal in the Grade 2 Math Olympiad’s individual competition, and another gold medal for the Math Warriors Challenge Team Competition for grades 2 to 4.  Alphan also received a trophy for being the overall runner-up champion for Grade 2.

More than 1,700 contestants from 18 countries participated in the 2017 SIMOC. Alphan was one of 39 math wizards who represented Team Philippines.
