Lomibao wins bronze for PH at World MathFusion Olympiad

Alphan Lomibao at the WMO
Representing the Philippines, Alphan Lomibao of 5-Ifugao won a bronze medal at the 2019 World MathFusion Olympiad (WMO) World Final. The competition was concluded in Bangkok, Thailand last August 11, 2019. The 2019 WMO was attended by nearly 200 students from more than 10 countries including China, Australia, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The WMO is a globally recognized mathematics contest that is held annually for students aged between eight and 13 years with an aim to promote international exchange among mathematically gifted students, to establish a math-based innovative education paradigm, and to cultivate future convergent leaders with the ability to view learning and the world from novel perspectives by stimulating their curiosity and spirit of inquiry.Detail of Alphan’s WMO bronze medal
