SASMO ranks 3 AGS boys among Top 5 mathletes in PH

(L-R) Magnus Navarro, Zion Uy, and Alphan LomibaoFour incoming Grade 5 mathletes- Rohan Herrera, Alphan Lomibao, Magnus Navarro, and Zion Uy-  each received a medal from the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO), which was held last April 6, 2019. Lomibao, Navarro, and Uy each received a gold medal while Herrera received a silver medal. Each boy also received a Philippine ranking and a Global ranking based on their SASMO performance. Among gold medalists, Zion Uy is #2 in the Philippines and #10 Globally, Alphan Lomibao is #3 in the Philippines and #20 Globally, and Magnus Navarro is #5 in the Philippines and #38 Globally. Among the silver medalists, Rohan Herrera is #7 in the Philippines and #19 Globally. 

Rohan Herrera, Alphan Lomibao, Magnus Navarro, and Zion Uy are four of the Ateneo Grade School’s most accomplished mathletes. Last February 14, 2019, they each received the Youth Excellence in Science (YES) medal from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) at an awards ceremony held at the PICC. The YES medal was given to students who brought honor to the Philippines by winning Gold, Silver or Bronze medals in various international Math and Science competitions throughout 2018.
