Born-2008 Ateneans are Ignatius Cup football champs via sweep; Hizon is MVP

Consisting of boys from grades 5 & 6, Ateneo de Manila’s Born-2008 football team won the Saint Ignatius Cup via sweep last August 17, 2019. In addition, Andres Hizon of 6-Intramuros was named Tournament MVP. The members of the team are Nate Quirante (5-Manobo), Yuan Llaneta (6-Mendiola), Rafa Madrid (6-Barasoain), Rafa Nolido (6-Kawit), Gian Luna (6-Intramuros), Max Favila (6-Corregidor), Iggy Ricarte (6-Bagumbayan), Jay Jay Regino (6-Pinaglabanan), Manuel Agpalasin (5-T’boli), Iori Alminar (6-Barasoain), Andres Hizon (6-Intramuros), Roman Tabayoyong (6-Bagumbayan), Jigz Reambillo (6-Pasong Tirad), Johnson Talosig (6-Pasong Tirad), Enzo Altuna (6-Mactan), Diego Angeles (6-Corregidor), Domtri Goduco (6-Mendiola), and Andrew Landicho (6-Pinaglabanan). The tournament was played over four Saturdays at Ateneo de Manila University’s Moro Lorenzo field and was concluded last August 17, 2019. The participating schools were Ateneo, Xavier, and Claret.
