JD Mercado of 11-Hoyos
Ateneo Senior High School student JD Mercado of 11-Hoyos won two medals over two days at the Quezon City track and field meet. On November 28, he won a gold medal for the shotput. On November 29, he won a silver medal for the discus throw.  The Quezon City athletics meet is a prequalfier for Palarong Pambansa. Ateneo's first ever girls' table tennis team is champion of the 2016 QC Meet
Ateneo de Manila Senior High School’s first ever girls’ table tennis team emerged as champion of the Quezon City Table Tennis meet on November 28, 2016. Held in Diosdado P. Macapagal Elementary School, the competition was a pre-qualifier for Palarong Pambansa 2017. Hans Gonzalez (11-Hoyos HUMMS) and Henry Fernando (4A 2010) won the Bicol Debate Open (BDO) 2016 Masters Cup Category on November 22, 2016.
