Definition of Work
 
Collaborating with the research team of IPC VRA Study: Epidemiology of Violence, the following are the tasks for the Research Assistant:
 

1. Collect and organize national-level crime data from 1998 to present;
2. Collect and organize national-level victimization data from 1998 to the present;
3. Collect and organize national-level extrajudicial killings from 1998 to 2016;
4. Collect and organize national-level domestic violence data;
5. Collect and organize precinct-level crime data from 2010 to present (only if possible); and
6. Perform such other tasks as may be deemed necessary to achieve the objectives of the research project.

 
Main Deliverables:
 

1. PHASE 1 – Catalogue of the national-level crime and victimization data from 1998 to present;
2. PHASE 2 – Catalogue of national-level domestic violence and extra judicial killings data from 1998 to present; and
3. PHASE 3 – Precinct-level crime data from 1998 to present, and finalized catalogues.

 


 
Non-disclosure Agreement
 
It is hereby noted that as a Research Assistant, Ms./Mr. __________ shall handle or be granted access to confidential and/or private information, whether it be information sensitive to the operations of the project or that of its partners. By signing this document, Ms./Mr. _________ understands and upholds the confidentiality and privacy of any information which she/he will handle during and beyond the duration of the project. Her/His failure to comply, whether intentional or unintentional, with the confidentiality and privacy clause of this document shall result in the imposition of disciplinary and/or legal action including but not limited to the termination of this contract.
 
Additional Provision
 
 
A. Renewal and Termination of Contract
 
Renewal of Ms./Mr. ________’s engagement as Research Assistant shall be approved subject to the agreement between her/him and the project management team, and in conjunction with the availability of funds, and work load for completion.
 
If, however, Ms./Mr. _____________ breaches any provision of this contract or has conducted, willingly or unconsciously, acts that are deemed damaging to the project, the institution, and its partners, the project management team reserves the right to terminate this contract through a written notice to be provided to Ms./Mr. ____________ at least five (5) working days prior to the prescribed termination date.
 
Terms of Payment
 
The IPC is prepared to offer Ms./Mr. _________ the gross amount of Twenty-eight Thousand Pesos (PhP28,000.00), tax-inclusive for the output stipulated in this scope of work.
