Regina So Research Group

The research area my group delves on is preparation of novel functionalized materials for natural products separation, environmental and biomedical sensors. Here are the current projects we are working on:

  1. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) as functional materials
    • For the separation of artemisinin
    • As promoter/“catalysts,” for the production of monolaurin
    • As sensors, for the detection of environmental pollutants and histamine
  2. Preparation of fluorescent films and modified-cationic polythiophenes towards the fabrication of sensors for tuberculosis
