The Illegal Wildlife Trade (lWl) is a transnational crime. and an urgent global issue. It continues to threaten some of the world's most iconic species with extinction. Unfortunately. IWT remains a significant issue in the Philippines. 

 
We would like to invite you to a lecture on Illegal Wildlife Trade on 19 February (Monday) at the Ateneo de Manila University (Escaler Hall) followed by a roundtable discussion with key stakeholders working against IWT in the Philippines.
 
Dr. Heather Koldeway, Associate Honorary Professor at the University of Exeter in the UK and Head of Marine and Freshwater Conservation. Zoological Society of London, will talk about the role of research in solving the illegal wildlife trade, with a focus on examples from the Philippines and species vulnerable in international trade, including sea horses, corals, sea turtles, eels and pangolins.
