Information Systems & Computer Science

In the corporate world, teams of IT practitioners design, manage, and implement information systems that support corporate activities and make informed decision-making possible.

 

IT professionals also create multimedia applications which can range from educational content, to entertainment, product information, corporate communications, and many others.  Multimedia practitioners design, produce, develop and test computer games, computer-based animations, electronic publications, and dynamic websites.  All of these can be extended to the mobile phone.

 

In the academe, computer scientists maximize the computing power of machines to solve complex problems that extend to the social world.

 

Training in IT develops highly marketable skills that are in demand both locally and internationally.

 

The Department of Information Systems and  Computer Science is a CHED Center of Excellence.  It's Computer Science program is the first and only CS program in the Philippines that has been accredited Level 4 status, the highest level, by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU).
