Course Description:
This course in the third series of general Physics for students majoring in Physics. It introduces the basic foundation of electric and magnetic fields and their interaction with matter. Topics include electric charges, electric fields, Gauss's law, electric potentials, capacitance and dielectrics, current, resistance, electromotive force, DC circuits, magnetic fields, magnetic forces, source of magnetic fields, electromagnetic induction, inductance, alternating currents, electromagnetic waves, and the nature and propagation of light.
