Poet and philosopher, priest and anthropologist, Paring Bert SJ has learned that a person who shows malasakit sa kapwa has ‘kagandahang-loob’, that freedom fighters and disaster volunteers embody ‘tibay ng loob’, that spiritual conversion involves ‘pagbabagong-loob’, and to have deep faith means ‘Sundin ang loob Mo’. What is this ‘loob’ that affirms the core of human dignity and awakens the wellspring of interconnectivity even with nature and what dwells beyond the self? And how can this meaning-rich concept strengthen our sense of solidarity in the midst of virtuality and violence? Come on in and let’s share insights. Tao po! Tuloy!
