Ateneo extends college application period for SY 2021-22

To give time to applicants affected by recent emergencies, Ateneo de Manila is extending its college application period for the first year batch, School Year 2021-2022, until Friday, 15 January 2021, 11:59pm.
The Loyola Schools' Office of Admission and Aid (OAA) said the extension is out of consideration for 1) applicants living in areas badly hit by the successive extreme weather events in the last few weeks; 2) applicants with poor internet connectivity; and 3) delays in the writing and submission of recommendation letters by principals/guidance counselors/teachers who may also be affected by the calamities.
The freshman application period extension applies to both local and foreign applicants, according to OAA.
In addition, the deadline for submission of scholarship applications will be extended until Friday, 29 January 2021 11:59pm. This separate extension, the OAA said, is for students who might have difficulty in completing scholarship application requirements.
This year's college application cycle opened last 1 September 2020. Due to extraordinary circumstances, the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) was suspended, and instead, admission will be based on the applicant's academic and non-academic performance in Grades 9, 10, and 11; on the batch rankings; the applicant's admission essay; recommendation letters; extracurriculars; and disciplinary record.
The application process for all prospective first year college students is entirely online.
