Korean I: Introductory Korean Language Certificate Course

Course Description Korean 1 is an introductory Korean language course designed for students with zero knowledge of Korean. This module delves on the essentials of the language beginning with the introduction of the alphabet, phonetics, and sentence patterns. Specifically, it covers the following: vowels and consonants, rudimentary rules of pronunciation, Sino-Korean and pure Korean numerals, basic grammar rules and sentence patterns, and simple dialogues and conversations.
The whole program aims to assist students acquire basic competency in 4 aspects of communication - speaking, listening, writing, and reading - through a combination of various teaching approaches and learning activities.

Korean II: Upper Beginner Korean Language Certificate Course
Ms. Sarah Jane Domingo April 10 to June 26, 2010 10 Saturdays, except May 1 and June 12 1:00 pm - 4 pm REGISTRATION DEADLINE: March 31, 2010, Wed.
Course Description Korean 2 is a continuation of Korean 1, which aims to enhance basic competency in the language through acquisition of new vocabularies and their application to more complex sentence structures. The course will also introduce new speech styles and expressions that will cover the following topics: imperative/command sentences in formal form, basic prepositions, propositive/suggestive exchanges, object, time and action-location particles, rules of pronunciation for syllabic pairs, etc.
Upon completion of Korean 2, students will be able to read with improved comprehension, write with much creativity through an expanded vocabulary, formulate questions and answers with proper conjugations, and speak with enhanced confidence.
Registration Fees: (inclusive of instructional materials and 30 hours of instruction)
Php 4,500.00 per student Php 4,000.00 per student for a group of not less than 10 people* Php 3,000.00 for Ateneo faculty and staff

* Must register and enroll all at the same time. NOTE: Classes will be dissolved if less than 10 students enroll. Full refunds will be made in case of class cancellations.

NOTE: Slips are to be accomplished in duplicate copies. 1st copy - Bank copy 2nd copy - Client's copy
3. Present payment slip to MBTC tellers together with cash/check. 4. Once validated, MBTC teller will give you a validated copy. 5. Before leaving, check & verify if the copy received (payment slip serves as proof of payment);
a. if validated b. and, if the copy was the one accomplished and presented to bank teller.
6. Fax the validated payment slip to 426-4326 or scan and email to acas@admu.edu.ph. Please indicate your name and preferred class (Korean 1 or Korean 2) on the slip. 7. Please keep the original validated payment slip and submit it to an ACAS representative on the 1st day of class.
