Vision/Mission

Research Activities. ACAS shall promote and encourage Asian Studies in the academic disciplines of the University by engaging in research activities. The Center aims to develop expertise in Asian studies that will enrich courses in this area.

Clearinghouse, Dissemination, and Publication. The Center shall serve as a clearinghouse for all research on Asian Studies of the University as well as an information center on linkages, grants, and conferences related to Asian Studies. The Center shall sponsor conferences, seminars, and workshops for the discussion and dissemination of research activities and their results. Research output of the Center will be disseminated through the Center痴 website, published monographs, and (in the future) in an Asian Studies journal of the Center.

Linkage. The Center shall develop, promote and coordinate the exchange of knowledge and skills, and establish other mutually beneficial relationships with other institutions, both within and outside the Ateneo de Manila University.

Resource Mobilization. The Center shall endeavor to solicit funds for the enhancement, propagation, and promotion of the aforementioned activities.
