August 20, 2019

The application for admission to Grade 11, SY 2020-2021 will be online. Before an applicant applies, please ensure that:

  • The applicant is applying for Grade 11 SY 2020-2021. The ADMU Senior HS does not accept transferees in Grade 12.
  • He/She is part of his/her school’s Grade 10 batch at the time of application, or has completed Grade 10 as long as he/she not currently enrolled in Grade 11.
  • He/She must not have applied for Grade 11 in the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School prior to this application. An applicant may take the entrance test for Grade 11 only once.
  • The applicant commits to taking the Ateneo de Manila Senior High Admission and Placement Exam (A-SHAPE) on Sunday, November 24, 2019, from 7:30 am to 12:00 nn in the ADMU campus in Quezon City.  Note that this is the ONLY remaining A-SHAPE schedule, since this is a special session opened to accommodate late applicants.  Also note that there are no provincial testing centers, so applicants from the provinces have to make arrangements to take the test in Quezon City.
  • The applicant commits to following the instructions for the online process and completing the online application.  The process involves several steps and will only be complete when the applicant receives an exam permit. Applicants without an exam permit will not be allowed to take the A-SHAPE.  If an applicant is unable to take the A-SHAPE, his/her application will not be considered.
  • Applicants currently enrolled in Grade 10 in schools outside the Philippines who are willing to fly to the Philippines to take the exam on November 24, 2019 may apply using the online platform.
  • Applicants enrolled abroad who will not be able to fly to the Philippines to take the exam on November 24 have the option of taking a special exam in the last week of May 2020.  This option is exclusively for students enrolled in schools abroad.  Applicants (enrolled abroad) who opt for this special schedule should call the Office of Admission and Scholarships (+63 2 8426-6001 local 6292), leave their names, the name of their school, contact numbers and active email addresses.  They shall be given instructions about a special process for filing their application.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ONLINE PROCESS

The applicant needs to take the following steps:

1. Create an account in the online system and generate a payment reference number.
2. Pay the application and testing fee of Php 750 at the ADMU High School Cashier’s office or over-the-counter at                Metrobank or BPI, making sure he/she carefully follows instructions for payment.
3. Fill up the online application form [“Draft” status].  This stage also involves entering the email addresses of two             recommenders (teachers) to trigger the sending of a google recommendation form, and uploading an image file ID         photo (JPG or PNG) and PDF files of the required documents.
4. Submit the filled-up form online and wait for Ateneo’s checkers/reviewers to check the completeness of the form              [“For Review” status].  Ateneo’s checkers will either return the form online [“Return to Applicant” status] or move           the form to the “For Recommendation” status.
5. Edit the form according to the comments of the checkers/reviewers (if the form is returned to the applicant) and              re-submit the form [“Return to Applicant” status].
6. Follow up if the teacher-recommenders have sent their google recommendation forms [“For Recommendation” status]      until Ateneo’s checkers/reviewers receive these online recommendation forms.
7. Click on the November 24 testing schedule in the online system in order to trigger the sending of the test permit to          the applicant’s email address [“For Examination” status]

Note that the online application process is not complete until the applicant receives a test permit.

DETAILED STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE APPLICATION

It is the applicant’s responsibility to monitor his/her application and move it forward. In order to do this he/she must make the effort to read and follow the instructions of the online process.

Online application may be new to our applicants, and thus we are providing very detailed instructions regarding each step in the online application process.

We ask all applicants to download the detailed instructions contained in the pdf files found at the bottom of this page, and refer to these instructions as they accomplish each step in the process.

Applicants currently enrolled in public schools in the Philippines should download the pdf file labelled, "SHS APPL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL APPLICANTS" found at the bottom of this page.

Applicants currently enrolled in private schools in the Philippines should download the pdf file labelled, "SHS APPL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRIVATE SCHOOL APPLICANTS" found at the bottom of this page.

Note that although each step can be completed in a few minutes, the whole process will take several days (4 days at the very least) to complete because of the waiting time for the payment to be received by Ateneo’s online system (2-3 working days), for the form to be reviewed by Ateneo’s checkers (several hours to a day, depending on the queue of forms to be reviewed), and for the recommenders to fill up and send their recommendation forms to Ateneo.

We advise all of those who intend to apply to start the process as soon as possible.  The first step (creating an account and generating a payment ID number) only takes 10-20 minutes.

APPLICATION DEADLINES for the 2nd and final batch

New applicants may begin their online application on October 17, 2019.  They must create an application account in the online system and generate a payment reference number by November 4, 2019.  After November 4, the online system will stop accepting new applicants and generating a payment reference number.

Applicants who already created an account in the online system but were unable to finish the application process may continue the process starting on October 17, 2019.  They are asked to complete the process as soon as possible.

For all applicants in the system, the deadline for completing all the steps up to the receipt of the exam permit (for the November 24 A-SHAPE) is November 9, 2019 (Saturday).
