Himor bags Ateneo's sole gold medal in UAAP 80 girls swimming championship

With a medal haul of one gold, two silvers, and four bronzes in the girls’ division of the UAAP Season 80 Swimming Championships, Ateneo de Manila University finished in 4th place with 137 points. Team Ateneo's sole gold medal in the girls' division was won by Suzanne Himor (12-Daniel) in the 200m butterfly, while the two silvers came courtesy of Himor in the 100m butterfly and the 4x200m freestyle relay quartet of Nicole Elijansantos (11-Escribano), Nirel Ibarra (11-Campion), Margarita Estacio (11-Gonzaga), and Himor. Two of Ateneo’s four bronzes were bagged by Portia Doragos (11-Borgia), who placed third in the 200m freestyle and the 200m butterfly. The two other bronzes came from two relay events: the 4x50m medley relay (Sarah Alvina of 12-Daniel, Jes Francisco of 11-Hoyos, Marjorie Manguiat of 11-Goupil and Margarita Estacio) and the 4x50m freestyle relay (Nirel Ibarra, Nicole Elijansantos, Margarita Estacio, and Jes Francisco). 
The UAAP Season 80 Swimming Championships were held in the swimming pool of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex from October 12 to 15, 2017.
