archive 2004 JGSOM Students dominate National Business Plan Competition
The entry of the Tree House Soya, Inc., which consists of Dyan Hermogenes, Doris Ngo, and Ryan Ybanez, won first prize. The group's business plan was also named Most Innovative Business Plan. Meanwhile, the entry of Sick Sense, Inc., which consists of Melecio Martin Aranz, Robert Antonio Crisostomo, Robert Raymund Cruz, Patrick Gerome Montes, Josephine Ong, and Diana Christine Tan, won third prize. The group's business was awarded the Most Socially Responsible Business Plan. The competition, which had the theme "Challenging Our Young Entrepreneurs to Greater Heights, was organized by the Manila Jaycees, an affiliate of the Junior Chamber International (JCI), Worldwide Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs. According to Michael Kern, Senior Directo (Business) – JCI, the objective of JCI's Best Business Plan Competition (BBP) is to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among its members and the community in general. |
