This coming June, the John Gokongwei School of Management (JGSOM), in cooperation with BPI Family Savings Bank, will offer additional seminar-workshop sessions on family business management under its Entrepreneurial Academy 2005, an outreach and service project of the school to the local business community.

Let's Talk About It: Strategies for Family conflict Resolution focuses on how family businesses can use conflict to strengthen family relationships and spur organizational activity. Mr. Enrique V. Abadescon, Jr., Principal Consultant of Effective Advisors, will conduct this session on June 3.

Meanwhile, Strategic Planning and Professionalizing the Family Business will be faciliatted by Mr. Ricardo H. Mercado, Professorial Lecturer, Leadership and Strategy Department - JGSOM, on June 4. The session will be about time-tested strategies for professionalizing family businesses and succession planning.

Both will be conducted at the JGSOM, Ateneo de Manila University. Crafted with the entrepreneur in mind, these sessions are designed to help entrepreneurs, their managers, and key members of their staff who have set their sights on building their business and laying the groundwork for an organization that will last.

These sessions will also enable them to run their business better by covering both theoretical framework and practical knowledge on increasing productivity, avoiding common business mistakes, and making smarter decisions. A high-powered line-up of speakers and resource persons will share their experiences, training, and insights to help participants with their respective businesses.
