a Culture of Entrepreneurship: The John Gokongwei School of Management (JGSOM) is pleased to host the National Conference on Entrepreneurship Education on July 18 and 19 at the Escaler Hall, Ateneo de Manila University -- Loyola Schools. With the theme Creating a Culture of Entrepreneurship on Our Campuses, the conference is the second run of this year's Entrepreneurial Academy, JGSOM's continuing education program which offers professional courses to the public that aims to help entrepreneurs to develop the skills necessary to run their businesses better. Nine different modules covering a diverse set of topics in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Law, Franchising, and Family Business Management will consist the two-day conference. In addition, special sessions are scheduled for the Deans of different colleges and universities who will attend the conference. This will provide the participants additional opportunities for interaction and exploration of possible avenues for collaboration. A Fellowship Dinner on the first day will also be hosted by the JGSOM's co-presentors, the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. Mr. Rudy Ang, Dean - JGSOM, said, "We hope that the participants at the conference will be able to discuss with each other the latest and most innovative trends in entrepreneurship education." Two
experts from overseas have already confirmed their participation in the
conference: Professor Saras Sarasvathy of the Darden
Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and Mr.
Hui Kwok Leong, Head of Business Incubation at the National
University of Singapore, thus, cutting-edge ideas from abroad will surely
be injected into the discussions. Meanwhile, Mr. Joey
Concepcion, Presidential Consultant for Entrepreneurship, will
deliver the Keynote Address. For more information on the National Conference on Entrepreneurship Education, the Entrepreneurial Academy, and JGSOM's other outreach programs, you may contact (02) 426 6001 loc. 5501 or E-mail Ms. Anna Galvez.
