ASES is a global network of business students from different regions, extending as far as the US and across the Asia-Pacific. Every year, ASES hosts two student summits that discuss global business issues and trends, one in Stanford University and the other in Asia. This is the second summit held this year and was hosted by the Singapore chapter and co-presented by ASES Manila chapter. The first ASES summit for 2005 was held last April 3-9 at Stanford University, which also had Ateneans as the Philippine representatives. Panel discussions, team building activities, speaker series, and company visits to Creative Technology Limited and New Water were among the activities lined-up. The business application activity consisted of a team competition in case study and e-pitching presentations. The winning teams, composed of members from different countries determined by the host chapter, had three Manila delegates: Dionisio, Legaspi, Leung.
The ASES Manila chapter, headed by Dionisio, invites students to the organization's first major event in the country on January next year, the upcoming Entrepreneurial Youth Summit, organized in cooperation with the John Gokongwei School of Management and ASES Japan Chapter. A two-day, two-night seminar, the Entrepreneural Youth Summit will serve as an opportunity to aspiring entrepreneurs to learn Asia-Pacific developments, trends, and strategies from a global perspective. The organization encourages students who are interested to participate in future ASES Global Summits to join and take advantage of the one-of-a-kind experience of networking through entrepreneurial activities.
