Minor Program in Finance

The goal of the finance minor program is to provide depth and additional exposure to students who wish to pursue careers in corporate finance, investment management, or banking.

Five subjects are required to complete the minor program, and these are:

  1. Banking & Other Financial Institutions (Fin 130)
  2. Investment Management  (Fin 121)
  3. Advanced Managerial Accounting (Acc 152)
  4. Any two of the following electives:
  • Tax Accounting  (Acc 131)
  • Controllership  (Acc 151)
  • Accounting Systems (Acc 161)
  • Seminar in Accounting (Acc 198)
  • Special Topics in Accounting (Acc 199)
  • Financial Statement & Credit Analysis (Fin 120)
  • Investment Banking (Fin 122)
  • Investment Analysis (Fin 123)
  • Equity Investment Analysis (Fin 124)
  • Special Topics in Investment Analysis (Fin 129)
  • Current Issues in Commercial Banking (Fin131)
  • Special Topics in Banking (Fin 139)
  • Advanced Finance (Fin 150)
  • International Financial Management (Fin 170)
  • International Finance & Foreign Exchange Market (Fin 171)
  • Seminar in Finance (Fin 198)
  • Special Topics in Finance (Fin 199)
Or any other elective designated by the Finance Minor Program Director
