Minor in Strategic Human Resources Management

The goal of the strategic human resources management minor program is to shift the mindset from being a police to being a partner,  then a player or, or better still, a pioneer in the field of human resources management.

Five subjects are required to complete the minor program, and these are: 

  1. Strategic Human Capital Management (L&S 135) 
  2. Strategic Human Resources Development  (L&S 136) 
  3. Work Practicum and Career Development (L&S 129) 
  4. Any two of the following electives: 
  • Leadership in the 21st Century  (L&S 130)
  • The Leadership Challenge (L&S 131)
  • Leading and Managing Change (L&S 132)
  • The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (L&S 133)
  • Principled Negotiations (L&S 134)
  • Organizational Development (L&S 137)
  • Labor Relations Law (Law 135)
  • Labor Law and Social Legislation (Law 125)
  • Group Dynamics (Psy 275)
  • Or any other elective designated by the Strategic Human Resources Minor
  • Program Director
