When apprehended this time, she had with her
application forms for admission of St. Paul University Manila,
De La Salle Professional School, World Citi Colleges, and International
School for Culinary Arts & Hotel Management. Apparently, the
suspect is making the rounds of schools as her area of operation.
Since she had not stolen anything, she was turned over to the
Barangay Hall after being told to stay away from Ateneo. Given
her track record however, she is expected to be back. The community
is cautioned to be on the lookout for her as Virginia A. Solis alias Mary Jane Sales Mallari, alias Cynthia de los
Reyes, alias Cynthia Ilagan or another name she may
adopt. If seen on campus, please call security immediately.
CAR BREAK-IN: Last Tuesday,
30 January a Loyola Schools student reported to security seeing two
men attempting to open a parked car at the diversion road carpark.
The student parked his car beside them and the two men hurriedly boarded
a brown Toyota Altis with plate number XSG 333 and left the campus
via Gate 2.5.
Given the increasing incidence of
car break-ins by breaking the glass of car windows, campus security
has intensified the frequency of patrols in carparks. The community
is reminded not to keep valuables inside cars that are visible from
the outside.
PARKING: No parking beyond
6:00 p.m. signs and additional lights have been installed in isolated
areas of the Northwest Carpark. These actions have been prompted for
security reasons and by the increase of abuse of parking privileges
on campus.
Last
Monday night, 29 January, a taxi driver (former driver
of a Loyola Schools student) and a yaya were caught in an embarrassing
situation in an isolated spot at the Northwest carpark. On Wednesday
night, 31 January a Nissan
Sentra without an Ateneo sticker was found parked in an isolated spot
again of the Northwest Carpark. Campus security managed to take pictures
of the couple inside the car. However, the driver managed to start
the car and dashed out of the campus, almost running down two guards
who were stopping him.
Checking of vehicles entering the
campus has been intensified.
Diversion Road Carpark: Improvements
are proceeding as scheduled in the expansion of the diversion road
carpark.

1. A more spacious and orderly
diversion road carpark with lamp posts relocated along the line
of trees.
2. Lamp posts now near the railings to light up the carpark
and discourage break-ins.
3. The garden of ornamental plants on the side of the diversion
road near the baseball field has been relocated. The vacated
area will be used as a carpark.
4. Base coarse overlay placed over what used to be an ornamental
garden.
