Rodolfo C Vera was a recipient of the 2015 Traditional University Awards. He was given the Gawad Tanglaw ng Lahi for his large and diverse body of work in theater and film which reflect and question Philippine social reality, thus becoming a medium for challenging and changing society; for mentoring young men and women in playwriting, music and theater, ensuring the formation of the next generation of Filipino writers, artists and theater practitioners; and for greatly enriching Filipino drama and literature with his original works, and appropriating for Filipino theater, landmark works of literature from Filipino and international writers.
