The Ateneo de Manila University’s Basic Education unit is envisioned to be a Filipino, Catholic and Jesuit educational institution that forms servant-leaders who have an intimate and faithful relationship with Christ, are competent in every aspect, compassionate with others, with a well-formed conscience, and a commitment to serve the country and the global community.

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School
 
The Ateneo de Manila Junior High School is an EXCLUSIVE SCHOOL FOR BOYS which comprises Grades 7 to 10 of the Ateneo de Manila University’s Basic Education unit.  In Junior High School, the young man discovers himself, hones his talents and abilities, and develops his leadership skills.  As he matures in faith, he grows in understanding that he is part of a larger community called to deepen his love for country and to contribute as a steward of God’s creation.
 
 
ADMISSIONS FOR SY 2021-2022 (IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ)
 
The Ateneo de Manila Junior High School (AJHS) would like to ensure that all the members of the community and its applicants remain safe and healthy during these times. Hence, the AJHS will be implementing a NO ENTRANCE EXAM Policy for this School Year due to the following reasons:
 
1. Applicants cannot take onsite exams because they are too young and are not allowed to go out during this pandemic.
2. Online exams are not easily accessible for all applicants.
3. Applicants of such a young age might not be ready to take a 4-hour exam.
4. Internet connectivity might not be reliable and thus might compromise test administration and results.
 
Hence, the AJHS Admissions Procedure for SY 2021-2022 will be different from the regular procedure observed during the past years. The following will be the changes for this year’s Admissions procedure:
 
1. Application and payment for incoming Grade 7 students, Late Applicants and Transferees for SY 2021-2022 will be online through our online application platform, Edusuite Admissions.  Please toggle the link below for Application Procedure to know more about the specific instructions for the online application.

THE ONLINE APPLICATION FOR INCOMING GRADE 7 SY 2021-2022 WAS FROM OCTOBER 5 – DECEMBER 15, 2020. Applicants from this period were already interviewed and are being deliberated on.
 
THERE WILL BE ANOTHER ONLINE APPLICATION PERIOD FOR TWO WEEKS ONLY, FROM FEBRUARY 1-12, 2021. THIS IS FOR THE LATE APPLICANTS. NO OTHER APPLICATION PERIOD WILL OPEN AFTER THIS ADDITIONAL ONE.

THE LINK FOR THE ONLINE APPLICATION FOR TRANSFEREES (GRADES 8-9) WILL OPEN IN APRIL 2021.
 
 
2. Since onsite exam administration is not possible for this year, an alternative evaluation procedure will be administered in place of the usual entrance examination:
 
           a. Ranking based on Grades 4-5 cards, and Grade 6 First Quarter marks
           b. Online interviews which will begin in December 2020.
           c. Deliberations by the Admissions Committee
 
3. Results of applications will be released in March 2021.
