Transfer Application (Grade 8 or 9 entry) for SY 2024-2025
I. Who can apply for transfer to the Junior High School?
Note: Although the AJHS will accept female applicants for Grade 7 SY 2024-2025, female TRANSFER applicants to Grade 8 will only be accepted in SY 2025-2026, while female TRANSFER applicants to Grade 9 will only be accepted in SY 2026-2027.
Male students who will finish Grade 7 (for Grade 8 transferees) or Grade 8 (for Grade 9 transferees) in School Year 2023-2024. The AJHS does not accept transferees for Grade 10.
Applicants should have excellent academic and deportment marks from their previous schools.
Applicants should be able to accomplish and complete the online application process of the Ateneo de Manila Junior High School. The online application process is done through the Ateneo Edusuite for Admissions platform.
II. Will entrance exams be administered?
The entrance test for transferees will be administered onsite in the Ateneo de Manila Junior High School campus on May 2024. The exact date of the exams will be posted on this webpage in January 2024.
III. When is the application period?
The online transferee application period for Grades 8-9 SY 2024-2025 will start at 8:00 AM on April 4, 2024, and end at 3:00 pm on April 25, 2024. The online application link will only be available on these dates. All applicants who have set up an account and paid the application fee of Php700.00 will be included in the system. All applications which do not meet this requirement at the end of the application period will not be processed.
IV. What are the requirements?
The application process is online. The following documents need to be uploaded to the system once an account has been set up and the payment made. Please prepare these documents AHEAD OF TIME to facilitate the applications process. The documents and the picture have to be uploaded in the correct format.
Copies of the applicant’s official and final/complete report cards (with signature of the Principal/Registrar and School logo) in PDF format.
For Grade 8 Transfer Applicants: Grades 5 and 6
For Grade 9 Transfer Applicants: Grades 6 and 7
Copy of the applicant’s official report card for the present grade level (First and Second grading periods). This field has a late upload option, so upload the card when available.

Copy of the applicant’s complete and most recent Birth Certificate (PSA/NSO copy only, does not have to be recent)
Handwritten autobiography of the applicant on one sheet of A4 paper
Additional documents for non-Filipino/dual citizen applicants:
Copy of Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) and a Special Study Permit issued by the Bureau of Immigration
Copy of Philippine passport or Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino citizen
Once you have received proof of payment from the bank, upload the receipt to your Ateneo Edusuite for Admissions account.
The payment will be registered in the system after 4-5 days, as all payments pass through the University Central Accounting Office. Notification to proceed will be sent to the registered email address.
ACCOMPLISHING THE APPLICATION FORM
After payment is verified, log in to your account and accomplish the form. Please take time to click the FAQs button and read through the step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process.
Upload the required documents (prepared ahead of time) online through the given link. Click "SUBMIT" so that the application form can be reviewed.
There will be several steps in the review of the form. The AJHS OAS cannot make the edits; only the parent of the applicant can do this. The editing notes will also be sent to the registered email address.
RETURN TO APPLICANT: Editing should be made based on the editing notes. Click "SUBMIT" when finished. The application form will continue to be returned unless all editing notes are complied with.
ACCEPTED: Application form will be marked "FOR PROCESSING."
TAKING THE EXAM AND UNDERGOING THE INTERVIEW
If the documents are approved, an email will be sent through the Registered Guardian account. This will mean that the applicant is already in the "FOR EXAMINATION" stage.
Click "MANAGE SCHEDULE."
Choose the available exam schedule for the grade level you are applying for.
Once you choose the date, an Exam Permit will be sent to the registered email address.
Print out the OAS Copy of the permit and have the applicant bring it with him on exam day.
Be at the AJHS Lobby at least ten (10) minutes before the exam starts. Instructions for the exam will be sent through email.
After the exam, an interview schedule and instructions will be sent to the registered email address at least two days before schedule.
All applicants will be interviewed; an interview does not mean that the applicant is already accepted.
Interviews will be held at the AJHS Campus Saturdays in May.
After the onsite interview, wait for the results to be released through the registered email account. Results will be out anytime in June 2024. Enrollment for Grades 8-9 start in July.
VI. CAN WE APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID?
Accepted transferees can only apply for financial aid after they have successfully completed and complied with the requirements of their first year in the Ateneo de Manila Junior High School.
There needs to be proof that the transferee will be able to comply with the requirements of AJHS before they can be considered for financial aid.
VII. HOW MUCH IS THE TUITION AND OTHER FEES?
There is still no announcement about the tuition and other fees for SY 2024-2025. For SY 2023-2024, tuition (no miscellaneous fees, uniform and books) is Php146,223.20.
