Ryan Jeremiah Donato Quan is a full time law professor at the ALS. He is currently the Program Officer of the Graduate Legal Studies Institute, the Law School's unit in charge of the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program, research coordination, academic linkages, and internalization efforts. He also chairs ALS Legal Research and Writing Department. He previously directed the Ateneo Human Rights Center’s internship program, where he also worked on human rights issues and concerns of women, children, indigenous peoples, and the environment.
Ryan is also part time lecturer at De La Salle University - Manila College of Law and the Far Eastern University Institute of Law, and a visiting professor at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University College of Law. Currently, he is a legal specialist (advisor) at the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines, and continues to serve as consultant to international agencies and institutes.
Ryan completed his undergraduate degrees at DLSU – Manila in 2004, and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from ALS in 2008. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2009. In 2015, he was conferred a Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law degree, summa cum laude, by the University of Notre Dame du lac (Indiana, USA), where he was also a scholar of its Klau Center for Civil and Human Rights.
