Revised Bicycle Parking Guidelines
10 Apr 2014 | Campus Safety and Mobility Office
Effective April 10, 2014, the university will be implementing a Centralized Bicycle Chain and Lock System under the custody/supervision of the security personnel. This is on top of the individual locking devices that bicycle owners wish to use.
All bicycle owners are required to follow these procedures:
- Bicycles must be parked at the designated bicycle stands (please see attached location of designated bicycle stands)
- Before parking, the owner shall approach the guard on duty for proper identification and to log his/her bicycle information and condition.
- The guard on duty shall accompany the owner to the bicycle stand, open the centralized lock system and lock the bicycle.
- Before leaving the campus, the owner shall again approach the guard to open the centralized lock system and unlock the bicycle.
- The guard on duty shall record the condition of the bicycle and request the owner to sign in the log book.
- Bicycle parking is allowed until 10 pm only. Overnight parking will be strictly prohibited.
- The University and security agency will not be liable for: bicycles not parked at the designated bicycle stands, bicycles not secured by the centralized chain and lock system, and bicycles parked beyond 10 pm.
Please be guided accordingly.
Thank you.
