Call for Nominations to the SOH Dean Search Committee (Memo U2223-027)

Dr Jonathan O Chua will end his term as Dean of the School of Humanities (SOH) on 31 May 2023. I write the Loyola Schools community to help me form a Search Committee for the SOH Dean, for a 3-year term (SY 2023-2024 to SY 2025-2026).

I would appreciate it if the nominations for the members of the Search Committee were submitted to the Office of the President via email (president@ateneo.edu) on or before 5 October 2022.

I shall then appoint the Search Committee which will go through the next steps of the process:

1. Creating a list of possible candidates;
2. Interviewing the candidates and resource persons;
3. Recommending three possible names to the President

I hope that the Search Committee will complete its report by January 2023. This will enable me to make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees for their approval during the February 2023 meeting.
