I am pleased to announce the selection of
MARIA A RESSA
as
Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2023.
Last year, the Ateneo de Manila Board of Trustees resolved to confer the Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology, honoris causa, on Ms Ressa. The honorary degree shall be presented to Ms Ressa during the LS-wide Commencement Rites on 30 June 2023. The Commencement Address shall be delivered right after the conferment ceremony.
This year’s commencement theme is Tugon sa panahon: mangahas, manalig, at manindigan para sa katotohanan. The schedule of the Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Exercises for Class 2023 is as follows:
