The Ateneo de Manila Community in Higher Education
FROM:
[Sgd] Maria Luz C Vilches, PhD
Vice President for Higher Education
SUBJECT:
Addressing Teaching and Learning on Wednesday, 20 September
Greetings on this sunshiny Monday!
As you know, Bar Exams are being held in the metropolis this month – beginning last Sunday, 17 September and ending on Sunday, 24 September. In between is a Wednesday, 20 September. The traffic advisory during these days has indicated that traffic would be heavy till 9AM and from 3.30pm till 7pm.
In view of this situation, for Wednesday, 20 September, classes in the Schools of Humanities, Management, Education and Learning Design, Science and Engineering, and Social Sciences may shift to an online mode. It goes without saying that faculty discern with their students the best possible way to navigate classes that day.
If the same traffic situation is going to affect teaching and learning in the Schools of Medicine and Public Health, Law, Government, and Business, the respective deans of these schools are enjoined to make their decisions that are appropriate to their contexts.
I trust in your resilience, good discernment, and patience.
