Synopsis:
Global Megatrends describe real data sets that provide macro-perspectives spanning over 5+ years. These trends create profound implications in decision making for future leaders, strategists, change agents, and entrepreneurs aiming to address issues of competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience. Global Megatrends is an inter-disciplinary study emerging from Ecology, Society, Economy, Geopolitics and Technology domains. The session will include the discussion of sample cases illustrating how the Megatrends shape our world and their potential consequences to Humanity, Businesses, and Individuals. Gain insights to spot future opportunities and challenges, to embrace disruptive innovation with confidence, and to create new business models and lead transformational change.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Frank Siegfried designs and delivers customized programs and courses at SMU-ExD and is an Adjunct Faculty at SMU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Business. He also teaches in the Global MBA Program of Manchester University and mentors deep-tech start-ups at NUS Enterprise and Macquarie University. He is industry agnostic and focuses on growth acceleration, transformation, innovation and team performance.
Frank combines academic research insights with profound practical experience. He started his career at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology & Automation, later moving to Daimler Group (Mercedes, AEG, Airbus) and Honeywell before joining Deutsche Telekom’s Venture Capital initiative in Asia.
Frank originates from Germany and held overseas posts in PR China, Vietnam and the Philippines before establishing Black Moon Pte. Ltd., a Singapore based Strategic Advisory & Management Consulting firm. He has a keen interest in current affairs and is a passionate follower of Arsenal FC and Science Fiction.
Frank has a DBA from Manchester University, UK, an MBA from Macquarie University, Australia, and an MSc. from Stuttgart University, Germany. His areas of specialization are Strategy / Scenario Planning / Execution, Transformation / Behavioral Change, Megatrends, VUCA and Sustainability, Business Challenges (“Pressure Cooker”), Service Excellence / CX Journey Mapping, Tech Innovation / Commercialization, and Venture Capital / Entrepreneurial Finance.
