China’s Mona Lisa: The Qingming Shanghe Tu (Along the River During the Qingming Festival) A CSP 35th Year Program
Webinar on China’s Mona Lisa: The Qingming Shanghe Tu
(Along the River During the Qingming Festival)
A CSP 35th Year Program
Ateneo Chinese Studies Program, in coordination with students enrolled under its interdisciplinary course, Chinese Art and Society, invites everyone to a two-part series of a Webinar on China’s Mona Lisa: The Qingming Shanghe Tu (Along the River During the Qingming Festival).
Qingming Shanghe Tu (Along the River During the Qingming Festival) is a handscroll painting by a Song Dynasty painter Zhang Zeduan, revealing the festive spirit and worldly commotion during a Qingming Festival, rather than the holiday’s ceremonial aspects.
The first event of its kind in CSP, the Webinar showcases our students as presenters, with invited experts in the field, both here and abroad, as panelists to share their knowledge and thoughts.
Join us as our student-participants delve into socio-historical and socio-cultural aspects of the painting.
