Pitik x Padyak: Photography, Cycling and Climate Change
The Asian Center for Journalism is holding the 19th Pitik forum titled “Pitik x Padyak: Photography, Cycling, and Climate Change" on Friday, Dec. 2, from 2-5 pm at the School of Social Sciences’ Case Study Room (CSR). It will feature talks from freelance photojournalist Jilson Tiu and Aileen Camille (AC) Dimatatac of the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities, as well as our current Diploma in Visual Journalism students.
Biking gained more adherents during the pandemic lockdown that led to the closure of the usual modes of transportation and forced many Filipinos to start biking as a cleaner and less costly way of moving around. Among these Filipinos are photojournalists and environment advocates who are part of communities promoting biking, safer streets and a cleaner environment.
We at ACFJ would be delighted to see you and have you take part in the discussions at Pitik. The area where the forum will be held will be ground-floor space close to the road so if you feel like bringing your bike, please do so.
We hope to have a lively discussion on this resumption of Pitik as face-to-face event. We’re looking forward to seeing you!
