Golden Harvest
The Ateneo University Press's annual Harvest tradition is back this December! Every year, we celebrate our harvest of new titles that help us narrate the nation.
Commemorating our 50th anniversary at the same time, this year's Golden Harvest looks back at our last 50 years of distinguished academic publishing while renewing our commitment to bravely narrate the nation through well-written, extensively-researched, and well-produced books on the Philippines and its multifarious concerns.
Twenty-eight new titles are launching this year. Some of them are already in our online stores while a lot more will be available to the reading community this Golden Harvest.

About the Press
Established in 1972, the Ateneo University Press first made its mark with books on the Philippines, in the humanities and social sciences. It pioneered in recovering and publishing Filipino classic literary works. The University Press has since expanded to include titles in archaeology, arts, biography, cultural heritage, diaspora studies, governance and political change, law and society, leadership, Mindanao studies, science and society, and theology and religious studies.
Dr. Julio C. Teehankee, one of the editors of Patronage Democracy in the Philippines congratulates the Press for being "at the forefront of publishing relevant, timely, and high-quality works in the humanities and social sciences." According to Teehankee, [Ateneo Press] has not just been a major publication outlet for the Ateneo de Manila University but has been the preferred publisher by most academics in the country and beyond.
Similarly, Moro Warrior author Dr. Thomas McKenna commends the Press for its "first 50 years of excellence." In a message, McKenna shares "I was looking at my bookshelves the other day and am extremely impressed at the number of wonderful books the Press has published in the last 50 years. I'm very excited to be a new Ateneo Press author and nearly as excited at the prospect of reading many more new books from the Press in the coming years." McKenna is among the roster of scholars and authors publishing with the Press for the first time this year.
Patronage Democracy in the Philippines: Clans, Clients, and Competition in Local Elections and Moro Warrior: A Philippine Chieftain, an American Schoolmaster, and the Untold Story of the Most Remarkable Resistance Fighters of the Pacific War are among the titles launching at the Golden Harvest. They are also both available in our online stores.
