Our presenter is Dr. Helen U. Amante, Lecturer of the Department of Leadership and Strategy. The paper is co-authored by Dr. Mendiola Teng-Calleja and Mr. Donald Jay Bertulfo.

Brief Description of the Topic:
The study aimed to determine factors that enable proactive behavior among Filipino teachers. Specifically, it looked at the indirect relationship between transformational leadership and teacher proactive behavior and explored the intervening role of management of innovation and quality of instructional supervision. The study employed quantitative methods specifically, multilevel structural equation modeling to test the hypothesized relationships of the variables.
About the Speaker:
Helen is presently a lecturer at the John Gokongwei School of Management, Leadership and Strategy Department of the Ateneo de Manila University. She has extensive experience in Basic Education where she served as an academic administrator. She does organization development consulting for schools. She has co-authored book chapters on organization development and leadership. She earned her doctoral degree in Leadership Studies major in Organizational Development at the Ateneo de Manila University. She is one of the founding members of the Philippine Leadership Society and is currently its president.
