About the Speaker
Dr. Jaime Z. Galvez Tan, or Dok Jimmy to many, has dedicated almost 50 years to public health in various capacities in the government, international development agencies, non-government organizations, and academe. He is a recipient of the Parangal Lingkod Sambayanan during the 2022 Traditional University Awards in recognition of his decades of service in promoting better health care for the marginalized and underserved.
About the Public Lecture
In this public lecture, Dr. Jaime Z. Galvez Tan will draw from his vast experience in the field of public health and community medicine to discuss how community empowerment is key to the health and wellness of our nation.
