Tree Planting by Military Nurses
07 Nov 2020 | Cpt Paula Benilda C. Aromin NC
As part of it’s social responsibility in conserving and preserving the environment, the Office of The Chief Nurse, Armed Forces of the Philippines conducts annual tree planting activity as part of it’s anniversary activities. Yearly, military nurses plant a minimum of 20 seedlings at the DENR watershed in the hope of growing more greens and increasing awareness of the importance of the environment among its officers.
The Cpt Aromin is a Military Flight Nurse of the Philippine Air Force. She actively engages in activities that promote the environment such as tree-planting, coastal clean-up, plogging (jogging with picking-up litter), and just recently started an interest in promoting ecotherapy as a way to combat pandemic stress.
