Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School mathlete Brian Dela Cruz of 12-Navarro won the 1st runner-up trophy and gold award in the Senior Secondary Group division of the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) Final. For being the top-scoring contestant from the Philippines, Jimbo Bernardo of 11-San Vitores was named  Math Star of the World in the recent World Mathematics Invitational (WMI). Jimbo won the diamond award as well for landing among the top 3% of WMI’s contenders.
