Office of the Vice President for the Loyola Schools
The Vice President for the Loyola Schools (VPLS) serves as the academic leader and chief operating officer of the Loyola Schools while the Deans perform the academic administration of their respective Schools, with each School composed of departments, programs, and centers. The VPLS and the Deans are responsible for policy execution, for the enunciation and achievement of the educational goals of the Loyola Schools, and for coordination of the work of the different departments in the Loyola Schools.
The current Vice President for the Loyola Schools is Dr Maria Luz Vilches.
About the Vice President
Dr Maria Luz Vilches is the current Vice President for the Loyola Schools. She has been VPLS since 2016. Prior to this, she was the Dean of the School of Humanities.
