Biography: 

Mendiola Teng-Calleja, PhD a faculty member of the Psychology Department and the Director for Research of the Ateneo-Center for Organization Research and Development (Ateneo-CORD). Joy has over 10 years of practice in different areas of human resources management. She worked as an internal HR consultant for The Coca-Cola Export Corporation and as Assistant to the Principal for Human Resources of the Ateneo de Manila High School. She has done projects and consulting work with SGV-DDI, Oracle Systems Corp., Bristol-Myers Squibb Philippines (Mead Johnson) among others. Joy obtained her PhD in Social-Organizational Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University where she also earned her M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She completed her B.S. Psychology and B.S.C. in Human Resources Management Degrees (Honor’s Program) at St. Scholastica’s College Manila. She has published in the Philippine Journal of Psychology and was a finalist in the 2004 Asia Mercer Research Awards. Her research interests include humanitarian work psychology, labor relations and issues, strategic human resources management and organization behavior.
