Research paper of ASHS students Benitez, Casanova, Lopez and Mendoza wins Special Award at int’l Young Scientists competition

Ateneo de Manila Senior High School students Fons Benitez, Luis Casanova, River Lopez, and Nikki Mendoza of STEM/12-Oldcorne bagged the Special Award for Educational Contribution during the 2022 SEAMEO Search for Young Scientists (SSYS). Their research study focused on the assessment of carbon footprint in an online learning environment. The group was mentored by Mr. RD Sagun.
The competition’s theme was, “Empowering Innovative Young Minds for a Sustainable Future.” It was held online from March 7-10, 2022, with the awarding ceremony being held virtually on March 10. The event was organized by SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization) Regional Centre for Education in Science and Mathematics (RECSAM), which is based in Penang, Malaysia.
