Miguel Tagarda wins 3rd prize for PH in BBB Math Olympiad’s Final Round

Ateneo de Manila Grade School mathlete Miguel Tagarda (2-Yakal) won a 3rd prize award for the Philippines in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (a.k.a. Big Bay Bei or BBB) Mathematical Olympiad Final Round. He competed in the primary 2 division of the Olympiad, which was held online on March 20, 2022, with results being announced on May 1, 2022.
Participating countries included Australia, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Big Bay Bei highlights the importance of mathematics education and honors the brilliance of young mathematicians from all over the world. It is an annual international Olympiad hosted and organized by Olympiad Champion Education Centre (OCEC) in partnership with Math Olympiad’s Training League, Inc. (MOTLI).
