ASOG and KAS Kick-off the Youth for INclusive Democracy Training last June 22
27 Jun 2022
The Ateneo School of Government in partnership with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung has officially opened the first session of the Youth for INclusive Democracy Visayas run last June 22, 2022. Youth leaders from different areas in the Visayas were oriented on the training’s main objective—to embed the idea of inclusive democracy and to inspire emerging youth leaders to participate and engage in formal and informal institutional spaces for youth participation in governance.
Through the first session of Youth IN, the participants had the opportunity to know more about their fellow youth leaders, their different advocacies, and motivations. They were also able to find their common ground and share their perceptions on their role as young leaders in advocating inclusive democracy.
For the next few weeks, the three module-online training program will allow the youth leaders to reflect on their individual leadership journeys, learn to take on a design thinking approach in doing their youth engagement plans, and craft their local youth policy agenda for their chosen advocacies.
